Jake Standerfer is a freshman RISE student with a business preference major and an interest in accounting. He enjoys writing and working with computers but also values time spent on Michigan's many lakes and outdoors in general. Environmental sustainability is a passion of Jake's which he looks to somehow implement in his career.
Drew is from Rockaway, New Jersey and is a freshman here at Michigan State University. His major is hospitality business and minoring in environmental studies and sustainability. Drew would like to work with restaurants in the future to help make their food products local and organic. He enjoys skiing, fishing, and traveling to new places.
My name is Rachel Sanders, and I am a freshman at Michigan State University. I am currently undeclared with a major, but I plan on studying in the field of biology. I have a deep passion for sustainability, along with all forms of art, camping, hiking, and rollerblading.
Evan is a production team intern with LGG and plans on majoring in Environmental Studies and Sustainability with a minor in forestry, but he is not completely sure what he will end up doing. He wants to work in the public sector in the future, potentially with the NPS, the DNR, the EPA, or some other fun environmental acronym. Evan loves spending time outside, whether it be with a couple boards strapped to his feet ripping down the sad ski hills of Michigan, getting lost in national parks/forests, or just riding his beloved bike, Schwinndy, around campus. Evan also enjoys reading, listening to new music and pretending to be a coffee enthusiast whilst only drinking bean water from cafeterias around campus.
Taylor Burton is a freshman from Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan majoring in Dietetics and minoring in Environmental Studies and Sustainability. She is passionate about protecting the environment and food security and hopes to work along those lines in the future. A few things she loves are travelling, good tunes, animals, and spending time outdoors.
My name is Zachary Hays and I am a freshman at Michigan State University studying Packaging. I am involved with several groups and clubs on campus including: The Residential Initiative on the Study of the Environment, The Coalition of Packaging Professionals and Academic Connections, The Brody Catholics club. In addition, I am working with the Agricultural Technology Department and Tom Smith doing research as well as working as a Production Intern with Land Grant Goods. I hope to learn more about sustainability and entrepreneurship with the business and how that can complement my Packaging degree.

She graduated high school in Phoenix, Arizona, and has fallen in love with Michigan since being here. Hannah hopes to work for the National Parks Service at some point, and eventually progress toward a research-based sustainability career.
Brendan Niles-Bautista is a freshmen Food Science major from Tecumseh, MI. He is also minoring in Beverage Science and Technology and Environmental and Sustainability Studies. Brendan really enjoys travelling and trying different foods. He is also a member of the Residential Initiative on the Study of the Environment. This community is helping him build his knowledge on sustainability and the environment. In his free time, Brendan likes to go on bike rides and nature walks.

An aspiring polyglot, she speaks 3 languages and is currently studying Portuguese through MSU. With her free time she likes to hike, make necklaces for her business Macra-made Treasures, and just reconnect with old friends from her study-abroad in Italy. She hopes to use her degree from MSU and the knowledge she gains during her internship with LGG to make a positive impact on communities abroad through the use of sustainable-systems design.
